M&M’s Is Launching an All-New Ice Cream Sandwich Flavor

January 24 is National Peanut Butter Day, and this year brings the perfect excuse to celebrate: M&M’s is gracing us with a peanut butter ice cream cookie sandwich.

“Peanut butter is the Gen Z and millennial flavor of choice when it comes to ice cream pairings,” said Chanel Gant, Mars Ice Cream Marketing Director, in a press release. “With this new creation, we’re bringing that beloved flavor to the freezer aisle in a way that perfectly matches their cravings, offering a nostalgic yet innovative treat, creating moments of everyday happiness for our consumers.”

What to Know About M&M’s New Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich

You can find a few other M&M’s ice cream sandwich flavors in the freezer aisles already, but this new flavor is the first of its kind. It features Milk Chocolate Minis, home-style sugar cookies, and a thick layer of peanut butter ice cream.

You might already have a hankering for peanut butter M&M’s baked into cookies, or maybe you can’t help but top your ice cream with a handful every time. The Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich gives you the best of both worlds, with 100% real peanut butter ice cream providing the authentic flavor of one of the candy’s most beloved varieties.

M&M’s has been feeding fans (literally) with new treats to enjoy as of late, like its new Peanut Butter & Jelly candy or limited-edition Valentine’s Day flavor (fittingly, Strawberries & Creme).

Don’t worry: You don’t only have National Peanut Butter Day to celebrate these frozen treats. They’re available at national retailers now in single packs and as four-packs, and they’re permanently joining the lineup of frozen M&M’s ice cream sandwiches—which includes other flavors like Vanilla, Chocolate, and Cookies & Cream.

The next time you make a trip to the frozen section, don’t forget to grab a pack (or three)—and perhaps a bag of Peanut Butter M&M’s to go along with them.
